Stacie Freda

Stacie Freda is the Owner and Artistic Director of Lights, Camera, Dancin’, Home of the ACTION DANCE CREW Dancers!  Stacie has over 20 years of experience as a performer and over 10 years of experience as a proficient choreographer and teacher. Stacie has been taking dance lessons since age two.  She has taken dance lessons from Dance Techniques, Gotta Dance Studio, and Lou Conte’s with master dance instructors such as Michelle Broviak, Ted Jackson, Jay Fagan, Roland DuPree, Kacy Combs, and Paula Abdul.  Stacie has extensive training in Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Lyrical, Pointe, Hip-Hop, Musical Theatre, and Modern dance.  She danced competitively in Regional and National Competitions as a Star Lite dancer.  While competing around the country, the Star Lite dancers won numerous prestigious awards such as Entertainment Awards, World Dance Champions, and National Dance Champions.  Since her competitive dance days, Stacie has been teaching all styles of dance, coordinating her own competitive and performing dance team for nearly ten years, and is now going on YEAR THREE of owning her own studio!

A note from Stacie: Now I have the first two years under my belt, I am only looking forward to what is soon to come! The new dance session is well underway and I am very pleased that everything is coming together so well! We have many NEW and EXCITING changes happening here at Lights, Camera, Dancin' including Fresh experienced instructors presenting the latest trends and proper dance training. I couldn’t be more THRILLED and THANKFUL for having such a talented set of instructors!!!

 

Sergio Lopez

Sergio Lopez began his dance career as a Breakdancer. He trained vigorously while traveling all over the country competing in numerous National Breakdancing Competitions. The next step in his dance career was becoming the Lead Breaker for Xtreme Dance Force. During this time, he began taking any hip hop, jazz, lyrical, and ballet class he could get himself into in order to train himself as a dancer. While dancing with XDF, he was in the opening acts for Mims, Ciara, Souljah Boi, and Tyrese to name a few. After a few years of hard training, Sergio and six of his closest friends were casted on Americas Best Dance Crew, Season 2. With much dedication, great focus, and a strong will to never give up, Sergio has evolved into a versatile dancer and choreographer. Sergio now teaches and sets choreography for studios all over the Midwest. He is constantly challenging himself to take his work to another level and show the dance world what he is capable of. This year, Sergio will mainly be choreographing for ACTION DANCE CREW and will be offering Master Instructor Dance Classes!

 

Lindsey Winter

Lindsey Winter received her formal ballet training under the tutelage of Sherry Moray, Avnun Yakubov, and Homer Bryant. She has performed in area Nutcracker ballets as well as danced as a member of Illinois Ballet Theatre in such ballets as Delibes Variations, Cannon in D, and La Boutique Fantasque. Miss Lindsey also studied tap with Joyce Lang and Cheryl Sayers and apprenticed tap instruction under Suzanne B. Asa. In the winter of 2008, Lindsey choreographed the musical, Bye Bye Birdie, under the direction of Ms. Jan Barker from the Oak Brook Academy of Children’s Theater. A graduate from the University of Iowa and now an elementary school teacher, Miss Lindsey has taught dance for the past ten years and is an excellent instructor for ballet students who enjoy her fresh and informative approach to teaching. Lindsey is a VALUED INSTRUCTOR here at Lights, Camera, Dancin’ and she is proud to pass on her knowledge of dance to her students specializing in Ballet Technique, Pointe, Stretch & Strengthening, Classical Variations, and Ballet Theory!

 

Arianne Ramirez

Arianne Ramirez started her dance career with Xtreme Dance Force, working closely with Sam Renzetti, JC Renzetti, and Alvin Ramirez. She has performed in opening acts for recording artists such as Soulja Boi, Tyrese, Chingy, and Chamillionare. Arianne performed in the internationally broadcasted ESPN 2006 Major League Soccer All-Star Game featuring Lupe Fiasco and Nathan Burton’s magic show at The Flamingo in Las Vegas. Her skills in dance have allowed her to work with top choreographers Jesse Lee Santos, Kevin Maher, NTD, Joe Krausz, Matt Cady, Leslie Scott, and David Moore. She has also worked with MTV’s MADE and MTV’s America’s Best Dance Crew. Her unique style has been seen in local hip hop classes, high schools, and competition routines. Her dances are PHENOMENAL and all of the dancers here love her! The dancers recognize their own improvement in Style and Precision and couldn’t be more pleased! We are THRILLED to have Arianne on our teaching staff this year!

 

Rosa Abbruscato

Rosa Abbruscato is an experienced dancer, choreographer, and teacher. Rosa has taken dance from several well known studios such as, Golden’s School of Dance, Gotta Dance Studio, Avnun Yakubov Ballet, Fauborg Ballet Academy, Lou Conte Hubbard Street Studio, and as of recent, Giordano’s Jazz Dance Center while taking from Nationally known Master Instructors. She has danced competitively around the country, performed as a Chicago Jr. Luvabull, participated in local ballet performances including the Nutcracker and the Spring Repertoire with Avnun, and made an appearance as a dancer and actress in Annie, to name a few. Rosa has spent a numerous amount of time choreographing for dance teams, giving private dance lessons, and sponsoring Lake Park High School’s Dance Ensemble. This upcoming school year, Rosa will be taking over as the Lead Sponsor for Lake Park’s Dance Ensemble. Rosa specializes in Contemporary and Jazz and we are ABSOLUTELY DELIGHTED to have Rosa on board!

 

Amanda Lauricella

Amanda Lauricella is tremendously talented with a diverse background. She started off in Gymnastics at Palmer’s and during her time there, she achieved to be a USA Level 8 Gymnast. She has entertained all over the country as a Dancer, Singer, and Actress. As a dancer she has participated in the Opening Acts for a multitude of Concerts, she has attended master classes with the best in her field, including choreographers from So You Think You Can Dance and MTV, performed as a Chicago Honey Bear Dancer as a technical and club dancer, and danced competitively winning several prominent awards. Not only does Amanda sing, but she also writes her own music and recently recorded her own music video. As an actress, Amanda performed in the movie “Discrimination 201” in addition to performing in the promotional tour for the release of the DVD “Hairspray.” She has also studied acting and has participated in commercial workshops with Act One Studios in Chicago. Amanda brings a variety of aspects from her training to the classroom and we are VERY LUCKY to have her teach here at LCD!

 

Angela Pontarelli

Angela Pontarelli has been taking dance lessons since age three.  She has taken dance lessons from Schaumburg School of Dance and Dorothy’s Dance Unlimited with master dance instructors such as Dorothy Kirschenbaum, Donna Johnson, and Jan Powers.  The majority of Angela’s training is in Jazz, Tap, Modern, and Lyrical. During High School, Angela was on Conant’s Varsity Poms team where she choreographed numerous routines. After graduating from Conant, Angela attended the University of Iowa where she majored in Elementary Education and minored in Dance. She took Ballet, Afro-Cuban, and Partnering from Master Instructors like Alan Senar, Dan Stark, Jennifer Kale, and Armando Duarte to name a few. While in Iowa, Angela was responsible for creating the dance program at the Robert A. Lee Center. There she offered classes in Jazz, Tap, Ballet, and Irish Dancing. We are so EXCITED to have Angela on our teaching staff!

 

Jobeth Karl

Jobeth Karl began her journey into the dance world at age five. Jobeth’s training is in all areas of dance including Hip Hop, Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Pointe, Lyrical, Modern, Contemporary, and Musical Theatre. She danced competitively for nearly ten years and her performances can be numbered into the hundreds!  She has won numerous prominent awards while competing as an ACTION DANCE CREW Dancer individually as well as with her teammates. Just this past year, Jobeth was crowned “Teen Miss Sophisticated” and was awarded an assistant teacher scholarship from Dupree Dance Expo. She has been fortunate enough to have taken master classes from instructors such as Thayne Jasperson, Mia Michaels, Ben Susak, Wade Robson, Chris Judd, Dave Scott, Patrick Burns, and Kari Anderson. She has been assistant teaching for nearly ten years and has been substitute teaching for nearly five years. Jobeth has experience with a wide range of age and levels as well as experience in teaching different styles of dance. We couldn’t be more EXCITED to have Jobeth on board and we know all of the dancers will enjoy her unique style of teaching!
