ADC Expectations

ADC dancers and their parents are expected to support and encourage each other and to exhibit impeccable sportsmanship at all times. ADC parents and students - without exception - are expected to treat each other, their teachers, Lights Camera Dancin' staff, parents, competition judges, and fellow students from other studios with the highest level of respect. Please remember you are a team and the actions of one reflect all!!!

Whether you are at the studio for dance classes, waiting for your company classes to practice at ADC rehearsals, or at any dance event, (performances, competitions, parades, team day, ice cream party, etc.) your cell phones need to be put on silent and out of your hands. Cell phones are not allowed in the dance rooms, they should not be ringing during another studios dance routine at a competition, and they should not be buzzing across the floor at a performance venue while I'm introducing each dance. It is important to be professional in everything you do.

Parents and Students are responsible for reading the studio newsletter, bulletin boards, and e-mails at least one time per week to keep updated on new information. In addition, one parent must be present at all ADC meetings.

Although learning in the dance classroom is important, school comes first. Students will have to learn good time management skills to complete homework and manage a busy dance schedule as well.

The older you are, the more difficult it gets (in school, dance, life, etc.), but the older you get, the more tools you'll have in your tool belt, so to speak, to help you manage school, dance, and just life in general. One of the many duties and responsibilities that come with growing up and becoming a mature teenager, is realizing what an impact you make on the younger generation in Action Dance Crew. Please be aware of the fact that the younger generation of ADC loves you, looks up to you, wants to grow up to be just like you, will repeat everything you say, and will mimic your behavior, so please, set a stellar example for them to follow, thank you.
